Emily Dreskin

As Director of Public Relations for 50 Words, Emily assists clients with strategic communications, public relations, internal communications, as well as government and community relations. An operations professional with a diverse portfolio of experience, Emily is a natural problem solver with an innate ability to build rapport.

To help clients build public images and drive positive brand awareness, Emily crafts press releases, engages with the media, manages social media channels and creates content, handles crises, and organizes events. She also monitors media coverage and public opinion ensuring consistent messaging across platforms. Known for her exceptional communication skills and strong relationship building abilities, she helps leaders align strategy, inspire action, and drive results.

Prior to joining 50 words, Emily served as a Senior Process Associate for Genpact, a global professional services firm specializing in digital transformation, business process management, AI, and data analytics. She worked on transformational projects in the technology department, including redesigning their benefits website and user experience, managing project trackers, and leading collaborative efforts. Previously, she was a business support coordinator in the finance operations department at Bridgewater Associates, the world's largest hedge fund, and served as an AmeriCorps VISTA for Habitat for Humanity working on automated solutions for long-standing processes.

Professional Affiliations

Emily is a member of the International Women's Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) Connecticut Chapter and of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Greater Connecticut Chapter. Previously, she served on the executive board of the PRSSA Purdue University Chapter. She is also active in Habitat for Humanity and Catholic Charities in Fairfield County, CT.

Education

Emily earned her B.A. from Purdue University and is pursuing her Master of Public Administration at the University of Connecticut.
